Review
I really like that Shealy James tackles the subject of PTSD in this novel.
I enjoyed the dual point of views and perspectives from each of the main characters. Sarah, being a Psych student had an insight from her "books" but I think she learned that dealing with it in real life was a bit different.
I enjoyed the way this novel unfolded. It wasn't shocking and didn't have multiple twists, but I think it did hold its own in the New Adult Contemporary Genre.
Shealy James is a Georgia native who teaches middle school by day and disappears into the world of fiction at night. She is an avid reader and writer who hopes to one day write full time and leave the world of middle school angst behind. A sucker for love and happy endings, Shealy likes to combine humor and drama to create stories that are both emotional as well as entertaining.
