After foiling the political ambitions of a would-be American dictator, time-traveling lovers Marta Hamilton and Marshall Grissom return to their life in the Caribbean only to confront the murder of a friend and inherit responsibility for a gutsy 10-year old boy. Throughout their unlikely and tumultuous relationship, Marta has harbored suspicions that her time-traveling companion is not being honest with her. Is Marshall really the bumbling, good-hearted klutz she has come to love and trust? Or is he the cunning, cold-blooded assassin Gillis Kerg suspects him to be? In this fifth tale of physics, lust and greed, a bizarre parallel universe and a monstrous product of artificial intelligence will impose a costly consequence requiring both Marta and Marshall to face the truth of her most haunting question:  “Who are you, Marshall Grissom?”

INTERVIEW

What is the hardest part of writing your books?

Many aspects of the writing process are difficult. Among the most difficult for me is conceptualization. I come up with many concepts, only quickly to learn that many of them don’t hold my interest. But the right concept, no matter how sketchy, eventually lead to completed book.

What are your most played songs?

I graduated from high school in 1969, during decade-long folk music era. That music, particularly the Chad Mitchell Trio’s songs, is what I still list to most.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?

I have three editors who I rely on most in that role.

What book are you reading now?

I’m reading a Seattle author, Ridley Pearson, whose police procedurals I enjoyed during the 1980’s, and a mystery be Declan James.

How did you start your writing career?

I was a newspaper reporter and editor for 30 years. Every journalist thinks they have a novel in them and for years I had fits and starts that I couldn’t sustain. When I turned 60, I decided to give it one last try and forced myself to write a minimum of 500 words a day, good bad or indifferent. That process worked and Quantum Consequence is my eighth book.

Tell us about your next release.

I’ve started a fifth book in the Physics, Lust and Greed Series, but right now I’m focused on learning screenwriting.
