Haunted by insurmountable grief, the nearly indestructible Susie Drake
temporarily sacrifices all memories of her human friends. Unbeknownst to
her, Ren Pith, a semi-immortal plagued by seizures and OCD, snatches her
remembrances in pursuit of a time traveler, with the hope of rewriting the
past.
Meanwhile, recruited by the grandchildren of her forgotten friends, Susie
confronts a murder investigation intertwined with her purloined past and
teams up with a private eye to unravel a perplexing link between her stolen
recollections and a man who taunted her nearly a century prior. Racing
against the possibility of total memory loss, Susie and the detective
navigate time and space to follow a lead and venture into the future of an
alternate Earth.
Susie’s quest intertwines self-discovery, justice, and a high-stakes
race into a tangled web bridging past, present, and parallel worlds.

What is the hardest part of writing your books?
Deciding what to edit. I have no difficulty maintaining a high word count, but I prefer to believe that less is more, which you wouldn’t guess fits me by the how much I write per book. Removing an ultra-minor subplot, trimming a conversation, or even a few words is painful.
What are your most played songs?
The preference here is albums. Vinyl and CD. From Taylor Swift to James Taylor, the Black Keys to Beyonce. Beyond the mainstream artists, I listen to bluegrass, funk, surf instrumentals, and zydeco. The better the mix the more inspired when I write!
Do you have critique partners or beta readers?
A local writers’ group has proved important for my receiving feedback and assisting with editing.
What book are you reading now?
“Juniper Wiles” by Charles de Lint. It’s a fantasy about a former actress of a TV detective show who investigates a murder on behalf of a ghost. I’m a huge fan of de Lint’s novels.
How did you start your writing career?
A friend- to whom I dedicated the Susie Drake book- encouraged me to begin writing the story that’s been in my head for more years than I care to count. My friend must be magic because the first draft of seven books poured out in twenty-two months.
Tell us about your next release.
In the current release, we follow semi-immortal Susie Drake on her adventures in the 2050s. What comes next will be a series of prequels detailing the life and times of Susie and her extraordinary friends during the turbulent 1960.
