The Pope is missing. Three specialists – a British, a French and an American – are dispatched by a covert division of Anonymous to find him.

Interview

What is the hardest part of writing your books?
The toughest part to me is losing my plot. Once it goes out of focus, I have the arduous task of revising it. It requires me to apply some thinking, so the pressure is on. It can take me somewhere from an hour to a couple of days to resolve it. The process is stressful because I might still get it wrong, but we learn from our mistakes.

What songs are most played on your Ipod?
All kinds, and I update them regularly. The same songs will accompany me when I jog. It could be pop, hip-hop R&B – basically anybody. I listen to one and all, no prejudice, no personal favorites.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?
I have everyone. I have editors who work with me as well as Beta readers. I wrote two novels this year, which I didn’t expect. As I didn’t have budget for the second manuscript, I opted for Beta services. But you must be careful when using Beta readers. Not everyone is qualified. But I was lucky to have found two good people: one, a school teacher who is also an author, the other, a medical student.

What book are you reading now?
Too many on my TBR list. I am presently reading Brainwashed by Ruth and Michael Harris. Exciting thriller about a top-secret CIA psychiatric experiment gone rogue.

How did you start your writing career?
I’ve been writing since I was kid, inspired by the works of mystery authors. But I wasn’t sure what I really wanted to do with my life. I ended being a journalist before switching to public relations. There was always that yearning to write a novel. I had a character at the back of my heard who kept bugging me. so, one day, I decided to test my skills. I did not have an easy time. It was trial and error before the novel ever got published.

Gun Kiss, to be released this year by Imajin Books, is a story about a Hollywood movie star who gets kidnapped by a Mexican drug lord. I have received a raving advance review from Midwest Book Review. The novel has been endorsed by New York Times bestselling author, Gayle Lynds; USA Bestselling author, Jon Land; and K.J. Howe, author of The Freedom Broker.
