Alexander Baima graduated college with $80,000 in student debt at the age of 23 from one of the top 25 business schools in America. After college he went to work as a financial planner and serviced fortune 500 clients. He created the financial plans that brokers took credit for, and while they grossed millions a year, he made minimum wage.

At 29, his parents had a house with an $80,000 mortgage and a child – and they lived on one income. At 29, Alexander still had over $50,000 in student debt. How could previous generations have so much more than most millennials who still struggle with little hope for the future?

Young, Broke and Educated investigates the decline of purchasing power among young people, especially over the last generation. It explores in basic, easy to understand terms, how economic systems have evolved to hinder the financial success of millennials and the incentives that government, big business and banks have to prevent progressive change.

Alexander Baima, a master in the field of eCommerce and early adopter of blockchain technology, walks you through, step-by-step, what the issues are and what needs to change to ensure that millennials and future generations have access to the same type of success that previous generations took for granted.

Review

What is the hardest part of writing your books?

My writing requires a lot of research and fact checking. This can be quite tedious and tiring. I also think it is really hard because of how time consuming it is to write a book and how long it takes to get it to print. Sometimes you can write about something really important and by the time you get the book out the information is useless.

What songs are most played on your Ipod?

I really like Blink-182. Literally any song from Take Off Your Pants and Jacket or Enema of the State. I also spend a lot of time listening to Official Sound Tracks. I really like the musical scores from movies like Inception and Tron Legacy.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?

I have 3 beta readers

What book are you reading now?

1.) Beginner’s Guide to Reading Schematics 4th Edition by Stan Gibilisco

2.) Practical Electronics for Inventors 4th Edition by Paul Scherz and Simon Monk

How did you start your writing career?

I started writing more once I graduated college. Started with a few LinkedIn articles and gradually started to write more and more until I decided to write a book.

Tell us about your next release.

I am aiming to either do a second book or have my own TV series. I plan on calling it “Better Than the Bottom.” My goal is to create a series/book that will explore simple entrepreneurial ideas that anyone can do and see if you can do them and make more than minimum wage. Right now people need to be empowered and led to the realization that you do not need to be super smart or rich to be a great entrepreneur. A traditional job is not the only option.
