A crazed sniper. A loved one wounded, in danger of death. The unforgiving Fake News media. And a hidden villain more loathsome than any that Natalie McMasters has encountered before.

Nattie’s in the crosshairs as a series of seemingly random shootings terrorizes the city. She must fight to keep her polyamorous family from disintegrating, her emotions from running wild and her personal integrity uncompromised. This would be a formidable task for anyone, much less a twentysomething college student who just wants to graduate and get on with her life. Nattie must rely on old friends and new, but how can she even, when friends can become enemies in the blink of an eye? As Nattie nears an emotional meltdown, society collapses along with her, as the sniper’s depredations take their toll on the city.

Sniper! is a twisted, sexy, absolutely gripping descent into darkness jam packed with nail-biting suspense. Don’t miss it!

Interview

What is the hardest part of writing your books?

Since I’m a pantser, I find it almost impossible to plot out a book in advance. Plot twists must emerge organically during the writing process.

What songs are most played on your Ipod?

I normally don’t write to music because I find it distracting.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?

Yes. As a matter of fact, my new release, Sniper!, is dedicated to my betas as a thank you for helping me so much with my work.

What book are you reading now?

I’m reading The MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories, Volume XXIV – Some More Untold Tales, which has my story, Another Case of Identity, included. The authors are donating all the royalties from the collection to a school for special needs kids at Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s former home, Undershaw.

How did you start your writing career?

I started my writing career in retirement. I wrote the first Natalie McMasters story, Stakeout! And tried to get it published in a monthly magazine, but it was too sexy and edgy for them (you can read Stakeout! on my website at https://www.3mdetectiveagency.com/stakeout-a-natalie-mcmasters-story/). I wrote the first novel, Stripper! and tried to find an agent for about a year with no takers. Because I was convinced that Nattie would find a readership, I published Stripper! on Amazon and I haven’t looked back since. There are nearly 15,000 copies of the Natalie McMasters Mysteries in circulation now!

Tell us about your next release.

The next Natalie McMasters Mystery is tentatively entitled Killers!, and picks up at the end of Sniper! It should be out next spring. Don’t miss it!
