Interview

What is the hardest part of writing your books?
I have dyslexia and my major challenge is getting the text from my thought to the computer.  Instead of typing I dictate the first draft of my books to assist me in my writing.

What songs are most played on your IPod?
I like a variety of music anything from Motown to Country.  I usually just turn on my iPhone or radio and scan to the next station that comes in clear.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?
Since my books are self-help I prefer to use both.  The beta reader gives feedback on their impressions of how the suggestions apply in life. I prefer my beta readers provide me with feedback while I’m still working on my books. Because of my dyslexia having a fellow writer critique my work is invaluable to me then I feel more secure about the spelling, structure, grammar… Therapist and clinical author Justin Nutt LSCSW, LAC consulted as a critique partner and technical advisor for the series. Insuring everything presented be accurate and quality material while still being a comforting, easy-to-read guide to surviving divorce.

What book are you reading now?
Currently I am reading After the Diagnosis, Medullary Thyroid Cancer Memoirs by William Kenly

How did you start your writing career?
After my divorced in 2010 and with the encouragement of friends, family and my divorce attorney, I decided it was time to give writing a try.  Then the development of the website divorcedandscarednomore.com began.

My family of origin has a very interesting family tree.  I have been interviewing my relatives to collect more details about our history.

Tasher is not a professional therapist, rather she is sharing because she has “been there and done that” understanding how it FEELS.
