book blurb

From the USA Today Bestselling Authors, A.M. Hargrove and Terri E. Laine comes a new standalone sexy sports romance, Sidelined – A Wilde Players Dirty Romance.

Cassidy

I hate him… I love him… He destroyed me… and now He needs me.

Fletcher Wilde, a gorgeous quarterback in the NFL, is the man I should have married. He’s is the one that walked away, choosing football over me. He shouldn’t be back, especially not looking that good. And not sitting in my waiting room chair with a bum leg and confident cocky grin that sets my insides on fire.

It’s impossible to forget how he rocked my world both in and out of the bedroom. Keeping things professional won’t be easy, especially given our history. My mission, however, is getting him back on the field—the place he loved more than me, while not losing myself in him all over again.

Fletcher

Cassidy Miller is the only physical therapist in town. And after a potential career ending injury, she’s my ticket back on the field or my NFL career is over. Unfortunately, she’s the same Cassidy who ripped my heart to shreds when I thought we were a team.

Sexy and intelligent, she’s the last person I thought I’d see again. As it turns out, she looks better than ever, making me want that smart mouth of hers doing things to me that would drive a sane man crazy.

Lucky for me, my determination is legendary. Winning is in my blood, which makes me number one on the field. Being a single-minded man, my focus is to get her back and this time for good.

excerpt

“Can we start from scratch? Like this whole night?” I ask.

“What do you mean?”

A frustrated sigh leaves me. “I don’t want it to be like this between us.”

I expect a snappy response, but that’s not what I get. “I don’t really either. But after you dumped me—”

What is she saying? “I didn’t dump you. I had to leave to go with the pros.”

She looks at me like she wants to say duh.

“Yeah, you dumped me for the pros.”

My hand drives through my hair. “That’s not how it went. I had to leave, and you were supposed to come.”

That one word has me harder than I thought possible. She speaks, but I’m barely coherent to what she’s saying.

“I had to finish college. Then there was PT school, my dad, and I couldn’t possibly go.”

Reaching out, I take her wrist and pull her closer. Her eyes widen, making her look like a doe in the middle of the road. And, damn, if that doesn’t make her my prey.

The words crawl out of my mouth like a growl. “Take your clothes off and get in this tub with me.” I shut off the water and push the button to get the jets running. This is a dead-end conversation, like it will always be.

Her head shakes, sending all that hair I want to wrap around my hand flying.

“You’re crazy.”

“Maybe.” I haven’t let go of her wrist, determined to convince her to stay. “Everyone’s entitled to a little crazy.

When she doesn’t answer, I give her hand a slight tug. “Take your clothes off, Cass, and get in here.”

“I might hurt your knee.”

“Chicken.” I splash her with some water.

She jumps back, and I lose my hold on her. “Fletcher, you got me wet.”

Her eyes narrow as my grin widens. “That’s the idea.”

meet the authors

One day, on her way home from work as a sales manager, USA Today bestselling author, A. M. Hargrove, realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she made a quick decision to quit her job and reinvented herself as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.

Annie fancies herself all of the following: Reader, Writer, Dark Chocolate Lover, Ice Cream Worshipper, Coffee Drinker (swears the coffee, chocolate, and ice cream should be added as part of the USDA food groups), Lover of Grey Goose (and an extra dirty martini), #WalterThePuppy Lover, and if you're ever around her for more than five minutes, you'll find out she's a non-stop talker. Other than loving writing about romance, she loves hanging out with her family and binge watching TV with her husband. You can find out more about her books at http://www.amhargrove.com.

Interview

What is the hardest part of writing your books?

Proofreading is the hardest part. It is tedious, painstaking, and very time consuming. I love the thrill and excitement of the first draft. The grind of the final draft is a bummer by comparison.

What songs are most played on your Ipod?

I rarely listen to music while working. I find that any kind of background sound distracts me. When I do listen to music, it is generally classical instrumental music. I am particularly fond of Bach.

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?

I participated in writing groups for many years, but at the moment, I'm not a member of one. I employ a semi-professional editor. I also have a close writer friend and two very loyal fans who serve as proofreaders. Of course, I proofread my own stuff in addition to collecting as much feedback as I can get. Collectively, we manage to produce professional quality results.

What book are you reading now?

I'm in the middle of writing my next book, Hell's Wrath, so that is what I'm reading. I really can't read one thing and write another at the same time. The stories get muddled together in my head. When I'm done with my current series, I'll read other authors.

How did you start your writing career?

I read voraciously when I was young, and some of the stuff I read wasn't very good. I often thought, "I can do better." I didn't take writing seriously until I had a motorcycle accident when I was 25. That scary experience woke me up. I realized that I had to start working on my life goals, and one of them was becoming a successful novelist. I've been honing my craft ever since.

I'm currently writing Hell's Wrath, the fifth book in a series. I hope to publish in September or October. The series begins with First Circle Club, and the other books are Paradise Hacked, Gambling Demons, and Trolling Heaven. All are available on Amazon.

The idea behind the series is that trouble is brewing in Heaven and Hell. It will take a special team of human souls to unravel the deadly mysteries. Some scenes take place in the afterlife, but most of the action happens in present day Chicago. The books are a unique blend of modern police procedurals and medieval religious fantasy.

Alex Siegel has written three series, full of hellish scenarios and diabolical plot twists. The First Circle Club is the first book in his latest series. He is a computer programmer by day and a passionate, even obsessive, writer by night. He lives in Chicago with his wife and triplet teenage boys. A gray cat and two guinea pigs complete the menagerie.

Romantic Fantasy
Date Published: June 3, 2016

Claire Arden has a lot on her plate. In addition to surviving life as a high school sophomore, while avoiding the pitfalls that come with growing up on the wrong side of the tracks, she takes care of her aging grandmother, does her best to keep her flighty best friend out of trouble, and even holds down a part-time gig at The Burger Shack. Oh! And she recently discovered that she's a princess, but not just any princess. Claire is the half- blood princess of a race of creatures she'd always assumed didn't exist outside of the bedtime stories her gran used to tell her. Forced out of our world by humans of old, the fae, gifted with dominion over the four elements, created Faega, a world behind our own where they govern beings long believed to be mythic. Under the protection of her human mother's closest friend, Claire was spirited away from Faega as an infant because of an uprising of those who opposed her birth simply because she was only half fae. Sixteen years later, with members of the dark fae searching for her, she's reacquainted with the magical realm from her bedtime stories, and all the treachery, danger, and adventure that comes along with it.

Review

This is the first in a series and sets up the world and characters very well. I will be interested to see whats in store next!

Fantasy to the extreme. There is not a lack of imagination used by Jessica Lane in writing this story. I was blown away by the sheer detail used in bringing the reader into the magical world she has created.

Great mystical world with vivid details and intriguing characters. You will definitely be sucked in and eager for book number 2.

Hi; I'm Jessica. In a nutshell I'm just a hopeless romantic with a wandering mind and a big imagination who's grateful to God for her gift of storytelling. I've been blessed with a mind and imagination inclined toward all things artistic, so I think a creative career was always meant for me. I've been writing since I was a kid, but I didn't start seriously contemplating becoming an author until I was in college. The idea for this sprawling fantasy series that is now known as The Mythic Chronicles came to me when I was sixteen, and I got so inspired by this little half-formed idea that I wrote my first draft of the story that, 8 years later, became Book 1: Enchanted in about one month.. That first manuscript will never see the light of day because it was pretty terrible, but no worries, My skills have improved a lot since then. If you're up for a sprawling, fantasy series packed with plenty of magic, danger, romance, and adventure, the journey begins with Enchanted: The Mythic Chronicles Book 1. If you have read any of the books in the series, and enjoyed them, don't forget to write a review. Getting feedback from you guys is so rewarding. You can follow me on my various social media platforms (found on the "links"page) to stay in the know. I love hearing from you guys, so feel free to email me at darlingpen2 (at) gmail (dot) com. Thank you guys for all your love and support. I love each and every one of you. Welcome to the family!

Hi everyone,

I'm Margaret and I'm a self published author from Sydney Australia.

I love to take people on an emotional journey and push them outside their comfort zone when reading one of my books.

I have 11 titles out and I'm working on more. I love to write stories which tackle subjects that may be considered sensitive, and tell them in a way where you can see and feel what my main character is going through.

Thank you for your support, and happy reading!

By letting go of the past, they can ensure their godchild's future and break the inevitable cycle of death each life time. As a storm rages, desire burns—and ancient evil lurks.

Review

This is a super quick read and a dive into a Paranormal Romance world that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved how by the end everything comes together and there is an excellent plot development.

I really did enjoy being introduced to this new world.

I loved the pacing in this story. It felt very believable and steady. The characters were plenty and well developed.

Romance is key in these novels and I thought that the connection between Izzy and Malcolm was instantaneous and authentic.

Sophia Kimble has always wanted to be an author, but for years, life got in the way. She wouldn’t change a thing about how her life turned out, though. Her family keeps her laughing and loving. Sophia has worked as a nurse for twenty years, but has put that career path aside to devote her time and imagination to writing down the stories that keep her up nights.

Children’s Book / Picture Story Book
Date Published: April 14, 2016

Birdie and his friends are back! All of Birdie's friends in the town of Ponderville are in for a treat. Someone new is moving to Ponderville! In this second picture book by Cindy Helms, everyone is curious to see who could possibly be their new neighbor.   Part mystery and part matching game, Birdie and his friends track down and reveal “Who's New” with intriguing shapes leading the way.  How well the newcomer will fit in? Will Ponderville be welcoming?
Interview

What is the hardest part of writing your books?

The hardest part of writing books is that I don’t really have any co-workers. This is both a blessing and a curse. Being alone so much of my day allows me to really focus on my work and tune out the world. On the other hand, there is no team effort, no camaraderie. Sometimes I get tired of listening to myself think.

What songs are most played on your Ipod?

I have over 55,000 songs on my Ipod!! I love Spanish guitar music so typically that is the most played. Right now, however, I just returned from a trip to Italy and I am listening to Italian opera music. Music is almost always on in my studio, it seems to fill in for the lack of co-workers!

Do you have critique partners or beta readers?

I have two sons, now ages 16 and 13, and they have been amazingly helpful. If they don’t like something, they tell me. I have two professional re-viewers, one is paid and one is free. Right now I am not in a critique group. I have joined them before for other projects and I am always on the lookout for a person or group that would improve my work.

What book are you reading now?

A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson for my adult reading. In the children’s genre, I just finished writing reviews for two children’s books: The Most Important Thing: Stories About Sons, Fathers and Grandfathers by Avi, and The Cantankerous Crow by Lennart Hellsing and Poul Strøyer. (Reviews posted on www.nyjournalofbooks.com).

How did you start your writing career?

I started my writing career sixteen years ago by reading. Seriously, I have spent countless hours reading children’s books. Over and over by myself to study them page by page and over and over with my sons to learn what makes a book click with a kid. I attended years and years of library story times and spent months and months volunteering in elementary classrooms. I began writing middle-grade fiction and I have many files that may someday make it to book format, but for now I love the freedom, color and whimsy of illustrated picture books. I started this genre about three years ago.

This summer I have released Who’s New. A new-comer has arrived to the town of Ponderville. Everyone wants to see who it is. The story is meant to be very simple. The reader is presented with a silhouette shape of the new character and compares that shape with shapes of the regular residents of the town. It is great fun because the shapes are not the typical circles and squares that my readers are becoming accustomed to but strange and new ones that pique their curiosity. The reveal of the new character does not disappoint, she is as funny and interesting as the other cast of characters in the town. Everyone loves her and welcomes her…well, maybe not everyone, there is always someone who is a bit grumbly.

Cindy Helms is an artist based out of Centennial, CO. She has two sons and two cats. She loves road trips, camping, and being around friends.
