God tells us to endure and be faithful. Sad to say many have gone back into the world by giving up on Christianity because of difficulties and problems. Bad things will try our faith in God. Remember God is always in control and He allows things to happen for a reason.

This book is designed to encourage people that may be thinking about giving up when their faith in God is tried. In each chapter of the book it starts out with a pray, a scripture, humorous illustrations most of the time, then something is stated about faith. Please endure, be patient, and don't give up hell is too hot and eternity too long. "When Your Faith is Tried, Don't Give Up."

About the Author

Rudolph (Rudy) Burdett Jr. is striving to bring change by presenting faith (gospel) to others. Faith is the only thing we have that the devil is striving to take. Faith is required in pleasing God. Rudy is a devoted and dedicated member and minister of the Church of Christ. He was able to start a congregation in North Carolina in 2002. He resigned in 2007 from preaching and teaching because of a medical condition that hinders him from functioning. Rudy feels that God has called him to help people by preaching the faith and visiting others. He feels helping the less fortunate is needed, especially feeding and clothing. Prayerfully, food and clothing distribution will be a great future endeavor to embark upon. In Matthew 26:11, Jesus says, “You always have the poor with you.”

‘Are these my thoughts or yours?’ I asked.

‘It doesn’t matter,’ said the Sun.  ‘You are me and I am you….’

The Book of the Sun is a record of the conversations between the author and the Sun.  It concerns the structure of the living universe, why it is so difficult here, and why we should all begin to realize that we are all one, and yet diverse at the same time.  It answers many questions that have concerned minds throughout the millennia.  Why are we here?  Why is there suffering?  What is the future for us?  These questions and many more are answered with many surprises for the reader.

This is a god- the Sun, speaking to us through this book – who has contacted us before in Ancient Egypt, the Americas and many other places.  But the message now is that there is no separation, so the Sun is very concerned that we should not make a religion out of this contact.  Religions are based on hierarchies, rules and judgments, and the Sun’s message is not only that we are one but that love and light is the only reality, with a spicing of laughter.

'You are in my heart,'

...It was the sheer warmth of the love that took me by surprise.  It melted my heart in gratitude and joy.  It opened me to the most thrilling conversation of my life.

Miracles From World War to World Missions

photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png

Does God still work miracles? Does God use average and imperfect people to accomplish His perfect plan? Is there really such a thing as "God's perfect timing"? Wasyl (Bill) and Maria Wojtaszewski will tell you there is nothing exceptional about them, but God is always faithful in exceptional circumstances. The true stories in this book are at times humorous, always inspirational, and clearly demonstrate these powerful truths:

- Difficult circumstances may contribute to something larger than yourself.

- God's perfect timing is not the same as yours.

- God will bless your efforts when you make yourself available.

- God has placed callings on your life. Boldly pursue them!

If you have not yet met the God of this book, Bill and Maria's testimony will surely make you want to know Him. If you do know Him, this book will encourage you to go forward in faith and obedience. God has assigned missions to each of us - whether foreign, domestic, or both. We must trust that His strength is made perfect in our weakness, and it is He who ultimately accomplishes His missions.

About the Author

Wasyl (Bill) Wojtaszewski was born in Pinsk, Poland, in 1937-two years before the start of World War II. His difficult journey through Germany led him to San Paulo, Brazil, where he received training as an optician. In 1958, he migrated with his family to the United States, and in 1973, established Lakes Optical Shop in Medford Lakes, New Jersey, where he practiced for 37 years. Bill is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God. He has served on more than 50 short-term medical/evangelical missions in 16 countries, reaching people groups in underserved, underprivileged, and often forbidden locations around the world. While he considers it a privilege to help restore physical sight, his ultimate goal is to witness souls receive spiritual sight as they enter into an eternal relationship with the living Lord, Jesus Christ.

Excerpt

She blocked his overhead strike and lashed out so hard and fast with the end of her staff that she finally found her mark directly over his heart. The impact forced him to his knees. Clutching a hand to his chest, he leaned forward. His hair fell over his face, blocking his view of her overhead strike. It fell across the back of his head and knocked him downward so that he scarcely had time to break the fall with his hands. Instinctively his leg lashed out and swept her feet out from under her, sending her crashing to the grass.

Charlie hit the ground with a grunt and remained there for a few seconds, catching her breath. Jocelyn recovered first and sprang to his feet, offering her his hand. She took it, her gaze fixed on his.

“Excellent,” he said. “You stunned even me.”

“You weren’t expecting it.” She hated the quiver in her voice. Her hands trembled with the surge of emotions he’d aroused. Now that she’d calmed a bit, she realized why he’d been so awful. He’d deliberately taunted her into fighting him without holding back.

“No, and I haven’t underestimated anyone in a very long time,” he admitted. “None of us are ever too old to learn.”

“I’m sorry if I hurt you.” She tried pulling her hand from his.

“Don’t worry about it. You needed to know you can fight us. Edrik is powerful, but you’re not necessarily at his mercy, not as long as you’re my apprentice.”

“I couldn’t ask for a better teacher.” She said with heartfelt honesty.

“Nor I a better student.” He dropped her hand, collected their weapons, and placed them against the wall. “I think that’s enough for tonight. You may go inside if you want. I’m staying here for a while longer to practice.”

“Do you mind if I watch?” Not only did she find his athleticism aesthetically pleasing, but she learned from observing his technique. Settling herself on the wall, she stretched her arms and shoulders before she became so involved in him that she stared, motionless.

In the center of the yard, he practiced kata, a pre-planned series of movements resembling a powerful, graceful dance, though it was actually a mock fight against an imaginary opponent. She’d never seen anyone perform with his liquid grace and subtle power born from natural talent as well as centuries of practice. Watching the play of muscles beneath the black tank top that clung to his perspiring body, she imagined how it would feel like to be enveloped in his sinewy arms.

As if sensing her thoughts, he turned to her, his dark eyes reflecting the torch flames, his lips parted slightly.

Lightning flashed in the distance. He gazed skyward just before fat raindrops fell through the trees. He approached, but to her surprise, instead of reaching for the staffs, he stepped between her legs, took her face in his hands and covered her mouth in a possessive kiss. Charlie’s heart raced. Moaning softly, she closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his lean waist.

The house is shaking, colors are sparkling, things are starting to break... and did that toy start moving?

Thirteen-year-old Marley is convinced that Christmas is just for little kids and that magic doesn’t exist, but when she and her siblings tiptoe downstairs in the middle of the night to take a sneak peek at their stockings, she’s about to discover that magic is more real than she ever imagined...

When the children’s toys start coming to life, Marley will need to think fast if she’s to protect her siblings from rampaging dinosaurs and wild monkeys. The fate of them all depends on whether she can find the right kind of magic.

This thrilling and heartwarming adventure is a beautiful tale of a big sister who has forgotten the joys of Christmas.

About the Author

Christmas has always been Hilary Hauck’s favorite time of year. Growing up in the United Kingdom, Christmas meant family gatherings, turkey and stuffing, crackers, mince pies, charades, and the Queen’s speech in the afternoon.

According to Hilary, every child should have magic in their life, and stories enlighten us with the endless ways magic is all around. Why did she write this story about the wrong kind of magic? Well, because sometimes we need to feel the wrong kind of something before we know what the right kind looks and feels like.

Hilary is also the author of From Ashes to Song, inspired the true story of three Italians who immigrated to Pennsylvania ninety years before she did. She has written short stories for Like Sunshine After Rain and anthologies in the Mindful Writers Retreat Series.

She grew up in the UK and has also lived in Italy. She lives on a small patch of woods in rural Pennsylvania with her husband and a cat with a penchant for laundry. Visit her at www.hilaryhauck.com.
