Hairy Spinner lives in the canopy of the rainforest. He's different than
his family as he craves adventure - more than just catching a large insect in
his web. Suddenly, he is being whisked away on the back of a bat who hasn't
earned her full pilot's wings. They set off on a harrowing adventure through
the forest, meeting others along the way, while trying to return Hairy to his
family.

What is the hardest part of writing your books?
Finding time when the house is quiet and I am not too tired from the day to concentrate and finish the second book!
What are your most played songs?
I listen to a wide variety of music from rock, heavy metal, country, indie, celtic and sea shanties! Songs depend on the mood of the moment. They all have one thing in common though - they lift the spirit and release the mind.
Do you have critique partners or beta readers?
Yes, my daughter, friends, and publisher critique for me. I also have a few students I use as beta readers.
What book are you reading now?
James Rollins Arkangel- I can never tell if the science is real or fiction- he makes me dive down the rabbit hole to find out!
How did you start your writing career?
I began writing poetry in about 5th grade and short stories. Once a few were published I continued to write and improve my writing. I wanted my own unique style -
Tell us about your next release.
The second book in the trilogy will be titled Arachnid Airlines. It follows Hairy and Blitz as they grow and go on more unique adventures helping each other grow and expand their horizons along the way.

Author Heidi Scarano resides in Berks County, PA. She is a avid lover of nature, science, and photography. She enjoys outings with her family and seeking new adventures via traveling, when she likes to experience local customs, cultures and foods.
