INTERVIEW

What is the hardest part of writing your books? Keeping everything straight. I made the mistake of starting a series, which ended up being six books. The first three books, it was easy to keep up with all of the twists and turns. After book four, I had to go back and read things. I think being organized if half of writing well.

What songs are most played on your Ipod? I listen to a lot of music when I work and when I workout. Here's the list
Alandria by Foo Fighters
Walk by Foo Fighters
I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz (this song is Lane and Gresh's story from the Texas Series)
These Days by Foo Fighters
Donde Quedaran by Christian Daniels
Young Love by Eli Lieb

Do you have critique partners or beta readers? I have a couple of beta readers and critique partners. I like my beta readers to be a bit more than just readers. I think having a good beta/critique partner is essential to writing.

What book are you reading now? I'm currently reading Damaged by Ethan Stone. Ethan is one of my co-writers but I still read everything he writes.

How did you start your writing career? I'd wanted to write for a long time but never moved beyond the jotting things down phase. Then my sister quit her job and announced that while her and her husband were living in the Bahamas on a boat, she planned on writing a book. It was my dream and I wasn't going to let her upstage me. So I wrote my first book. It was terrible. But I wrote something and felt confident about what I'd done. The second book was better and I was on my way. I'm glad I took the initiative and wrote. If you're waiting for the right opportunity to write, just begin. You'll be happy once you do it.

Tell us about your next release. I'm currently in the middle of another big series. The Colorado Heart series focuses on the cowboys of Wild Bluff Ranch. Oh yeah, those cowboys also happen to be assassins. Not only are they sexy as hell, they are badass to the bone.

Writing is Sara's life. The stories fight to get out, often leaving her working on four or five books at once. She can't help but write. Along with her writing addiction she has a coffee addiction. Some nights, the only reason she stops writing and goes to sleep is for the fresh brewed coffee in the morning.
Sara enjoys writing twisted tales of passion, anger, and love with a good healthy dose of lust thrown in for fun. Almost a quarter of a century ago Sara met her lover, falling for him after knowing him for ten minutes. Sara's passion for him comes out in her stories, mixing with her passion for life, love, and good times, flowing onto the page and becoming tales from the heart.
