The Orchard Brides - Book 2
Christian Contemporary Western Romance
Date Published 04-11-2022
Can forbidden fruit lead to sweet romance?
After standing up to the wrath of the owner of a private apple orchard where her daughter picked some of the tantalizing, but off-limits, fruit, will Skye Palmer allow the handsome cowboy to atone for making her little girl cry?
New owner of Humble Tree Orchards Troy Sutton feels terrible - he shouldn't have come down so hard on the child for taking some of his ripe produce - even if the farm's profit margin is in the red zone. Can he find a way to make it up to her and her gorgeous angry mother? And can they come up with a plan to save the apple orchard before the winter frost arrives?
Sweetness is in the air... and perhaps an "apple-y ever after" might just be possible after all...

How did you
start your writing career?
Writing
stories was my favorite pastime as a child – that in addition to reading, of
course. 😊 I still have several boxes filled with my
childhood notebooks and journals. After
settling into my career as a vocational counselor in disability law, my writing
took the form of research synthesis – much drier than fiction, for sure! However, I always dreamed of getting back
into fiction one day and continued to tuck storylines away for
"someday."
Fast
forward to Covid. It was my father’s
80th birthday that year. We were unable
to visit him and he’s been encouraging me to write my own stories for over 30
years. I lay awake one night wondering
what would be a special gift for him, and in a flash, I knew I had to write a
children’s book about our memories together.
I got up in the middle of the night and wrote the whole thing! My daughter did the illustrations. After that, I answered a call for submissions
for a romance collection, and the rest is history.
A
fun tidbit – I do freelance work on the side as a professional book
reviewer. I’ve been a voracious reader
all my life as well as an avid book collector!
My imagination often keeps me up at night, and I now keep a notebook on
my bedside table for middle-of-the-night brainstorms.

My current book is Love
for the Dogs – it’s part cozy mystery and part sweet romance based around an
annual dog show that takes place on a beautiful tropical island!
